As an aspiring art director, I’ve had to face a big truth. I could have the greatest concept, but if I can’t pull off executing it for a client or my creative director, I’m hosed.
My problem is that Creative Suite scares the crap out of me. Open up any of the programs and it looks like the graphic version of Swahili. What the hell do all those icons mean? Bleh.
I could tell you how my Hydra9 family and I worked our asses off to prepare a client pitch in four days, but I’m not going to. Instead, I will regale you with the tail of how I received a free shot this weekend.
It was a grey Saturday in March, it was four days ago. Travis Kragh (or T-sauce as he’s known in the office) and I were trudging casually through the streets of downtown. We spotted a shop to grab some food. Upon entering the store, Travis seemed tense.
