Hello,

I totally saw one of these stickers on a pole by "Open Book" off Washington today. I love the mini viral marketing. Congrats on getting the word out there!

Dear Jordan,

Thanks so much for your feedback. It's important for us to hear what people have to say, because it will only make us stronger.

We regret you feel like our announcement was in poor taste, it was not intentional. We have a democratic process for blog content and each piece/entry is approved by the group before it goes live. This blog entry was no exception. We're a playful bunch; use of Heidi Klum's image and infamous in/out tag was never meant to be viewed as an advertisement for the Hydra9, so we don't feel the same way you do about borrowed interest. This entry was just a quick way to let people know what they wanted about our respective fates.

To speak to your point about future rounds of interns, we would like to share that they will have the freedom to handle their content/announcements any way they see appropriate, just as we have. This post was our choice and we don't regret how we handled the information.

Again, thank you for your feedback, Jordan. Please stay tuned, we have some cool stuff coming that we think might illuminate just how reverent we are about the end of our time together here at the Hydra9.

Cheers,
The Hydra9

This blatant display of borrowed interest seems in very poor taste considering the feelings and talents of those who did not get hired. I'm very aware of the whole "shitberg" philosophy, but how is this motivating for next years batch of interns? "HEY, if you don't get hired, we're going to publicly display your failure?" It seems like poor business ethics. The entire industry is critical enough at this point, we don't need to be adding more insult to it.

Congratulations to those who were hired. I know they are very talented and very much deserve it.

In so many ways, you all have made this thing worth building. This isn't the end, it's just a moment in time.
